2D Graphene-TiO2 Composite and Its Photocatalytic Application in Water Pollutants

نویسندگان

چکیده

To solve the global water shortages and serious pollution problems, research on semiconductor photocatalysts has generated significant attention. The degradation of pollutants by titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) exceeds other materials. However, its wide bandgap restricts photocatalytic reaction under visible light. large specific surface area good thermal conductivity graphene yielded an effective graphene-TiO catalyst combination 2D composites (2D-GTC) have shown promise, so a study preparation methods, mechanism catalytic effect different this material was undertaken. In current review, characteristics TiO their as well effects synthesis methods are introduced. 2D-GTC catalysts, in all reviewed.

2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenides and Graphene-Based Ternary Composites for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution and Pollutants Degradation

Photocatalysis have attracted great attention due to their useful applications for sustainable hydrogen evolution and pollutants degradation. Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) such as MoS₂ and WS₂ have exhibited great potential as cocatalysts to increase the photo-activity of some semiconductors. By combination with graphene (GR), enhanced cocatalysts of TMD/GR hybrids could be synthesize...

Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Pollutants in Water

A photocatalyst is defined as a substance which is activated by adsorbing a photon and is capable of accelerating a reaction without being consumed [1]. These substances are invaria‐ bly semiconductors. Semiconducting oxide photocatalysts have been increasingly focused in recent years due to their potential applications in solar energy conversion and environmen‐ tal purification. Semiconductor ...

TiO2-graphene nanocomposites. UV-assisted photocatalytic reduction of graphene oxide.

Graphene oxide suspended in ethanol undergoes reduction as it accepts electrons from UV-irradiated TiO(2) suspensions. The reduction is accompanied by changes in the absorption of the graphene oxide, as the color of the suspension shifts from brown to black. The direct interaction between TiO(2) particles and graphene sheets hinders the collapse of exfoliated sheets of graphene. Solid films cas...
